Precor has issued a recall of their Resolute Cable Multi-Station model RMS905, sold from July 2023 to Oct 2024. Being as it’s a $3000 machine, it was mainly sold to commercial gyms.
The issue is a single pop pin in the upper pulley carriage, as circled in the pic above, could be not fully engaged, causing the carriage to fall. There were multiple incidences of this happening.
To solve the issue, Precor is sending technicians to each location to install an improved pop-pin. They are not recommending that users do it themselves (but how hard can it be?). Visit https://www.precor.com/recalls for more details and to contact Precor to schedule service.
